General Cable, an international leader in the cable sector, presents a significant new product in the field of High Fire Safety cables. Thanks to the continuous efforts of the R&D+i department, the SEGURFOC-331(HS+) cable has been able to improve its performance and become the safest and most flexible cable on the market.

General Cable is currently involved in the launch campaign, which includes special labels fitted to both sides of the reels to easily identify the product. Campaign advertising can also be found in the different distribution centres.

Safest on the market: because Segurfoc-331 (HS+) is essential in the safety installations (emergency lighting, detection systems, lifts, PA systems, alarm sirens, evacuation signalling, smoke extractors and ventilation systems, etc.) of public places such as cinemas, theatres, stadiums, trade fairs, congress halls, hotels, hospitals, schools, discos, fun fairs, museums, restaurants, airports, stations and shopping centres, in line with ITC-BT-28.

Its main fire protection features are based on compliance with the following standards:

UNE-EN 50200 (PH90). European fire resistance regulations. These guarantee the working order of cables in a fire for a period of 90 minutes. This time is vital for fire brigade and emergency team action.  

UNE-EN 50266-2-2 (CATEGORY A). Guaranteeing greater resistance to the  propagation of fire on these cables. 

Most flexible on the market: Because Segurfoc-331 (HS+), with its optimised flexibility, guarantees greater savings on time and money in its installation.

Segurfoc-331 (HS+) was developed to operate at voltages of 0.6/1 kV and is in line with the following installation safety regulations:

UNE-EN 60332-1-2            (Flame retardant)          

UNE-EN 50267-2-2            (Low acidity and corrosivity of gases)

The conductor in this type of cables is flexible category class 5 and is insulated with halogen-free vulcanised elastomer. The sheath of these cables is made of halogen-free thermoplastic polyolefin.
